Depression Session

Last night in Richmond, should be fun.  Gonna try and get a big group picture for reals this time.  I need an Ill picture for the house.

I’m starting to worry about the construction of my bed at school. I think I need to add some more stabilizers longways across the back, it sucks because I don’t know anyone up there to come over and help me with that kind of stuff. I was a fucking HASSLE to get it put together by myself to begin with, and now I think I’m gonna have to take the screws out one at a time to make sure its solid. Guess it’ll have to wait till Sunday.

This I’ll never understand, I checked my book list for my class that starts on Monday to see if I needed to go to the bookstore while I was up there on Tuesday. According to the schedule page when I checked it Monday night there was no book listed so I crossed it off of my to do list. I got home last night from Maryland around eleven and was checking some class stuff and suddenly theres a book now posted for the class. Way to fucking wait till the last minute to post, goons.

I spent my last 20 bucks today so I’m really hoping my school money shows up soon, and speaking of, where the fuck are the Gov. checks? I’ve still got to pack up all my dvds and clothes and Computer before Saturday, I realize I don’t have a printer anymore and I should probably fix that, anyone know about cheap lazerjets? It’d be nice to have a zine machine in the house. I’ve been downloading band’s demos from myspace most of the day, isn’t really much else to do. I did find out that the new Violation, Cold World and Trash Talk albums all come out in July which will be pretty tight.

P.s. I woke up on Saturday morning of Memorial day weekend to “Well, looks like the neighbors set their house on fire.” Sure enough, so I went and took a couple pictures and went back to bed.

Got the first bunch of stuff into the new house today. Worked out pretty well, left around 8:30, so I missed out on morning traffic. Worked in the house a while, re-built my old bed and desk and got all my books put away along with some clothes. Went over to Sam’s Club in Laurel I think, which is in this crazy complex right next to a Walmart. Chickfila lunch, bad move, left thankfully late enough that I missed the afternoon rush too, Here are some more pictures of the house…

Went to a couple of Goodwills today trying to get thrifty and low and behold I came up on a pretty big score.

Picked up a sick old tie that reads “The Jefferson” on the tag so I’m guessing it came from Richmond. Also the best purchase, for five bucks I picked up a pair of Pendleton wool plaid slacks. So psyched, I need to have them hemmed a bit in the leg, but other than that I can’t wait to rock these bad boys.

Started working again on a drawing I’ve had sitting around for a few months that I never finished. I got a couple more hours of work finished on it. Feels good to get back to work on something, I kept pretty busy doing drawings when I graduated, but as time wore on I got more and more stuck in the rut of work and wasn’t doing anything art related.

I recommend you watch this move, easily in my top ten favorite movies of all time.

River for the weekend?  Hella Tight…

I have spent more time than I care to tell this morning adding album covers to my Ipod so I can use cover flow and look at pretty pictures.  Oh well, I’m still not anywhere near getting it all finished.  I don’t know who would have the patience to do all the albums.

On a lighter note I finally got a copy of “Sacrifice” by Black Widow.  I’ve been looking forever and finally got it, I strongly recommend it to anyone that’s into 70’s heavy/ prog rock.  This album has a HEAVY occult focus, they actually used to perform a mock sacrifice on stage at their shows and consulted witches on their shows, etc.  There’s more you can read about on their Wiki page, but a quick sum up; they used to have a female lead singer, who recorded “Sacrifice” originally.  That version was released a few years ago, its ok, but when they rerecorded the album with Kip Taylor taking over vocals they seemed to slow it down some and it sounds a little heavier to me.  Seriously, check it out, and if you can’t find it just send me an email and Ill figure out a way to get you a copy.

I don’t know how I missed hearing about this movie.  Comes out on dvd July 1, Be there.

Today I started packing up stuff so I can take a load up to the new house this weekend. I got all of my books packed, somewhat, I guess it doesn’t really matter it just needs to get there so I can put it on a shelf. Anyway here’s some of my books I thought I’d share…

Not only is this a great poster, but probably one of my favorite movies. Preppy trust fund guy hires a poor guy to go to prep school for him so he can go to Europe and party. Theres a whole scene about how to dress pretty that has one of my favorite movie lines in it “Socks, wear them only to weddings, and then, well, only if its your own.” Genius.
