Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3. Blog’s going semi mobile if this works! It’s like having two twitters, except I don’t have to censor myself as much on this.

I haven’t really started scanning anything from them yet, but Ive been sick so I decided to pull out some of my Grandfathers copies of “The Scarlet Letter” from when he was at Rutgers. Here are two things I pulled from the 1942 edition, his senior year:
The Keys and Badges from the school’s Honor Societies:

The Tennis team, my grandfather is standing, first (of the guys with racquet’s) from the left, tallest:

This is still one of the best albums I’ve ever heard.
I don’t want to get into music because it’s hard to describe why something appeals so much to you, I guess it’s a feeling you get when you hear it. This was the first album of his that I got, and sent me down the road toward having all of them.

I have really been neglecting this thing recently, but I’m in Graduate school so give me a break.
Went to Baltimore this afternoon for a joint class between our E-Discovery seminar and one of the first Law classes devoted to the subject, taught by Judge Grimm, at University of Baltimore. Unfortunately Judge Grimm wasn’t able to make it to class due to an illness so teaching duties fell to his co-teacher who’s name I’m drawing a blank on at the moment. After the first PowerPoint we split into groups with the Law students so we will act as experts for the counsel throughout the semester and during a mock meet and confer in front of the judge, toward the end of the semester. A fellow classmate and I are going to be supporting the defense. That’s really all I can say about it. Attorney work-product protection.
I’m going to read this in full later this week, Judge Grimm’s ruling on Stanley v Creative Pipe. It was pretty much one of the first rulings that actually dealt with E-discovery, there are some other articles that I need to get a hold of, printed as part of the Sedona Conference relating to search strategies.
Enough of that for now. Tomorrow is another full day at the National Gallery. Then its trying to figure out what I’m going to write to propose our project for my Digital Preservation class.
Currently reading : Jeremy Scahill’s book – Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army.
Sometime soon I’ll post some clothes stuff.

Went to New York on Friday. Valentines day was stupid. Lots of reading to do.
10 good things:
1.Generation Kill – I’d been on the fence about buying it for a while now, but I’m glad I did. The book is excellent and HBO deserves all the acclaim they get for their miniseries. Do yourself a favor and read this article, also by Evan Wright about his time working for LFP.
2. Jah-k Jams, Hamburger Eyes podcast. Not that I listen to it a bunch, but its been good when I have.
3. Dudes Night Out: 2008. I know it’s 2009, but we had ‘06 and ’07’s within weeks of each other (before and after new years) and it was almost two years before we were going to try for ‘08 at the end of the year and we forgot. Highlights will include Lazertag, Tits of the year award and all you can eat, here.
4. Doug Benson’s “I Love Movies” pod cast.
5. United Blood ‘09. Duh.
6. Working at the National Gallery Of Art. Some of the pictures that I get to see in the archives are amazing. I’m trying to get copies for myself to put on the wall. I want to be like J. Carter Brown.
7. Google Maps on the I-Phone. I know it’s nothing special and comes with the damned thing, but it has come in handy too many times to mention.
8. Billy Joel. Don’t go changin’.
9. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This week I swear I’m starting again.
10. Oxford Cloth button downs. Need more colors. Orange is next.

Turned in a terribly frustrating homework assignment today, but lets let the past be the past.
See Mindfield, a modern classic. When so many skateboard videos make me not want to skateboard, its refreshing to see one that’s done so well and is inspiring! Just proves that Alien will always be the best thing coming out of DNA.
If you’re looking for some posi vibes I suggest getting the newest instalment of Hamburger Eyes pod-cast. Compiled by Stefan Simikich, guaranteed to make your day better. I’m putting it on mypod for work at the gallery tomorrow.
