Depression Session

One paper down, one to go (for now).  Over third of the way through assessing my Enron documents.  Will not be making it to the gym this week which is kind of a bummer.  The one night of class that I could not miss this entire semester is the exact same night that Zach Galifianakis gives a free show on campus.  If I can get enough finished today before and after tonight’s class I think I’m going over to the Eastern Shore for the day on Thursday, though I don’t necessarily think it’ll make me happy.  Big life changes going on this summer.  Not too excited about them.

Currently reading:  Run With The Hunted: A Charles Bukowski Reader.

I’ve been against reading anything of his for a long time.  Seems most people that sing it’s praises are full of shit, I’m on the edge, bullshit, attitude.  After downloading a recording of a reading he did I was swayed to at least stop being a holier than thou prick and read it for myself.  It’s much better than I imagined, some of it makes me incredibly uncomfortable, but then again it just makes me want to keep reading.

I got asked to be a part of All Seeing.  It’s pretty sweet, really different from Bring Em Young, I’ll still be posting there more obviously since that’s my gig, but All Seeing is sweet because its going to be mostly work related or creative stuff.

The next two weeks are going to be sort of insane.  I think they’ll be better than last years end of semester rush.  I still have papers to write and documents to evaluate and exams to take.  I hope I can still have a little break, time to chill, before I have to move and my summer class starts on June first.  More on that later.

Serious business has to be completed.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading recently about the middle east.  It’s re-peaking my interest in the region.  I think if I were to learn another language, it would be Farsi or Egyptian or Iraqi Arabic.  Seems like it would be a pretty useful skill in the world were living in.

I was up way to late last night, got an incredibly late start on the day today, no gym due to a bad nights sleep on my right shoulder.  Instead I headed down to the block in DC to chill and ended up at Tattoo Paradise, chilled for a bit with Reid and got a new tattoo from Chad Koeplinger which I’m super psyched on, especially when I found out that he’s moving to NY in June, so just in time.  I’ll post pics when I take the bandages off later.

Lots of chilling all over today, good times.  Its 12:31am and I haven’t eaten at all today, I think I need to go fix that.

Header up on Bring ‘Em Young.  It’s about time that we had a change.

Addendum:  I just finished my taxes!  Better late than never.  Still sucked and came down to the wire, but at least this year I didn’t owe any money.  Last year was terrible, but it looks like this year I may come out on top.  Unless TurboTax mislead me…

I love that for the first and only time I’ve ever seen, another guy named Jamey (Johnson) actually spells his name the same way I do and is a hard drinkin’, hard livin’ country music star.  Reminds me of hanging out at Absolute.
